Why Sync Your Calendar

If you are using an Outlook calendar you will need to sync that with Navigate.  By syncing your calendar, it eliminates the need to cross-reference two separate calendars in two separate apps and reduces the possibility of double booking. 

Calendar sync automatically updates your availability without you needing to manually add it in Navigate.

How to Sync your Calendar 

If you are using an Outlook calendar you will need to sync that with Navigate.  By syncing your calendar, it eliminates the need to cross-reference two separate calendars in two separate apps and reduces the possibility of double booking.   

Calendar sync also automatically updates your availability without you needing to manually add it in Navigate. 

Sync only one Outlook calendar with Navigate. 

  1. Click on the Calendar icon in the toolbar at the left.  

  2. Select the Settings and Sync button toward the top right side of the page.

  1. Select Setup Sync…

  1. Select Microsoft Office 365 (Latest Version).

  1. A window will open allowing you to pick your Microsoft UWO account.

  2. Click on your UWO account to Sign in.

  1. You will see the image indicating it can take up to 30 minutes to upgrade  your calendar to the latest Office 365 Sync.

The sync is typically quick.  Time may vary depending on your internet connection and the number of events to be synced.   

  1. Let the sync run.

  2. There will be two options listed to help you troubleshoot if your calendar is not syncing: 

    • Retry Upgrade… - Lets you reconnect to the Navigate servers if your calendar is not syncing. 

    • Disconnect Sync… - Lets you disconnect your personal calendar from Navigate. This may be used if you have changed your email address or need to re-setup your sync. 

  3. You can click back on the calendar icon in the navigation at the left to check if your events are showing on your calendar. 

    • To check if your calendar is fully synced click on the Settings and Sync button Settings and Sync Button.png toward the top right side of the page. If your calendar is fully synced, you will see the Last Sync with a date and time. 

Events synced are limited to 3 months in the past and 12 months in the future.
