Wireless - Connect Video Device (Roku, Apple TV, Smart TV) to Titan WiFi IoT
All Roku Models
If the device hasn’t completed initial setup you can find the Wireless MAC address in the Choose your network screen. Go to Scan again to see all networks within that window and it should display Your wireless MAC address
Rokus that have already completed initial setup:
Plug in and connect your Roku to your television.
Navigate to System.
Go to About.
Write down the 12-digit Wireless MAC address.
On any other device with a connection to Titan WiFi or Titan WiFi Guest (e.g. phone, tablet, laptop, etc.) open a web browser and navigate to guest.uwosh.edu
Sign into ClearPass Guest with your netID credentials (with @uwosh.edu) after your username which will require Multi-Factor Authentication.
Select Create Device.
Under Device Name, type any name you would like
For MAC Address, type in the number and letter combination titled Wireless MAC Address on your Roku.
Select the Wi-Fi Password Checkbox
For Ownership, select Personal.
For Account Expiration - Select 1 year from now so it stays active through the school year
Select Account Role - Video Device
Click Create Device.
You will get a Device Receipt which will include your wireless password. Write this down because it won’t show again. If you forget to write down your password, you will have to go into Manage Devices and reset your password for that device's MAC address.
On your Roku navigate to Set up Connection.
Select Wireless, then click on Titan WiFi IoT and enter the password provided in step 6
If prompted select I'm at home.
The Roku should now be connected to Titan WiFi IoT.
