UW-Oshkosh Door Access Management

The purpose of this document is to serve as a guide of who on campus manages access and where responsibilities lie.

There are currently five departments on campus that manage door access in some capacity. Those are:

Residence Life

  • Scheduling doors in Residence Life buildings during special events and normal residence life operations

Information Technology

  • Implementing and managing data integrations to automate access where possible

  • Granting access for staff, faculty, students, and affiliates

  • Creation of new access levels, doors, and buildings

  • Troubleshoot TitanCard provisioning

Reeve Union and Titan Central

  • Creation and management of food vendor contractor user accounts and iClass TitanCards in the Security Expert door access system

  • Building scheduling for Blackhawk and Reeve

  • Printing of Titan Cards (Reeve Union)

Facilities Management

  • Scheduling of doors in academic buildings

  • Access management for FM staff

University Police Department

  • Manage access to Police building (currently Lincoln Hall)

  • Check buildings to ensure that they are properly locked after hours

  • Respond to incidents that involve a breach of door security
