Android Outlook/Teams Error [5objn]
On newer android devices there can sometimes be an issue when the app is attempting to authenticate your account and it will display error [5objn] as seen below.
This error often occurs after device migrations, app updates, or when cached credentials conflict with the authentication flow.
The most likely solution is to clear the credentials cache that’s causing the conflict. It is recommended that you clear your device cache credentials first to ensure proper sign-in:
Remove old accounts from device settings
Go to Settings → Accounts → Manage accounts.
Delete any duplicate or old Microsoft/Work accounts.
Clear Teams app cache and data
Settings → Apps → Teams → Storage → Clear Cache & Clear Data.
Reinstall Outlook/Teams
Uninstall Outlook/Teams→ Reboot → Turn off Auto Sync Data → Reinstall from Play Store/App Store.
You can find Auto Sync Data at the bottom of the Manage accounts page.
Sign in using the full UPN format
For your UWO account, login with your full email: [userID]@uwosh.edu
This forces a fresh authentication session.
