Installing Office 365 Products on Personal Devices
UWO staff and students who have a current university email account may install this software on devices that either use Windows or Mac OS. For devices where an install isn't possible, online apps are also available.

On a student or staff members personal machine
This should not be done on a campus owned machine. For campus software installations please contact the IT Service Desk
Office 365 Installation Steps
Go to the https://portal.office.com
Enter your UW Oshkosh email address in the Sign in pop-up
You may be asked if this is a work/school account or if it is personal, choose work/school
This will take you to the UW Oshkosh login page, log in with your NetID
This will bring you to your Office 365 home page, please click on Install and more button
Select Install Microsoft 365 Apps from the dropdown menu.
Select Install Office from the Office apps & Device Section. This will start a download.
Open the downloaded application. You might be prompted to enter administrator credentials to start the installation.
Once the applications are installed, you will see a window that says “You’re all set!”
Click Close on that window.
Open Word, or any other Office application (PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
Sign in with your university email address and password.
Select whether you would like to sign into all of the apps.
