After this is completed, if you would like your NetID username changed to reflect your legal, call the Information Technology Help Desk at 920-424-3020, put in your own request at uwo.sh/service-portal, or email helpdesk@uwosh.edu. Please provide an alternate email address at which you can be reached. All communication sent to your previous email username will arrive at your new email username.

Username Changes are usually requested because of the following change

  • The individual changes their first and/or last name

  • The individual becomes staff after or while currently a student

For first and/or last name changes

Employees

  1. Employees must request their legal name change through the Human Resources Office first.

  2. Once the official name change has been processed by Human Resources then you can request a username change from Information Technology by calling the Information Technology Help Desk at 920-424-3020, putting in your own request at uwo.sh/service-portal, or emailing helpdesk@uwosh.edu.

Students

  1. Students must request their legal name change through the Registrars Office first.

  2. Once the official name change has been processed by the Registrars Office then they can request a username change from Information Technology by calling the Information Technology Help Desk at 920-424-3020, putting in your own request at uwo.sh/service-portal, or emailing helpdesk@uwosh.edu.
