This will walk you through on how to move a UWO personal account YouTube Channel to a Personal Google YouTube Channel.

📘 Instructions

1. Create Brand Channel under your UWO account

   1. Log into your

   personal

   1. Personal UWO YouTube account

   2. Click on Your Channel

   3. Go to

   settings

   1. Settings

   2. Click on Create a

   new channel

   1. New Channel

   2. Type in the Name of the Brand Channel you want to createThis can be named whatever you want and just a temporary Channel to transfer to your personal channel

      1. You can name this channel anything you like. It's only a temporary channel used for the transfer process.

   3. Click Create Channel

2. Move UWO Personal Channel to UWO Brand Channel

   1. Make sure you are in the personal UWO YouTube channel and not the brand channel

   2. Click Settings

   3. Click View Advanced Settings

   4. Click move channel to a Brand account

   5. Under the Brand Channel area, click

   replace

   1. Replace

   2. Click I understand

   3. Click Delete channel

   4. Check the box

   5. Click move the channel

   6. Switch the Brand channel

3. Give your Personal Google Account access to the UWO Brand Channel

   1. Navigate to Brand Accounts

   2. Click on the

   Temp

   1. Temporary Brand Account

   2. Click Manage Permissions

   3. Click Add User

   4. Type in your

   personal

   1. Personal Google account

   2. Select the role as Owner

   3. Click Invite

   4. Click Done

   5. Open

   your personal Gmail account

   1. Gmail using your Personal Google Account

   2. Accept the invite

You are not able to change Primary Ownership of the Brand Account until the recently added workspace account has been a manager for 7 days. 

1. Change Temp Brand Channel ownership to UWO account

2. Move channel to personal YouTube Channel under UWO account

3. Permission the channel for others that need to manage the account

4. Change Primary owner of the UWO Brand Channel to the Personal Google Account

   1. Open a web browser

   2. Navigate to Brand Accounts

   3. Sign in your UWO account

   4. Click on the Brand Account

   5. Click Manage Permissions

   6. Locate your Personal Google Account and change the persmissions to Primary Owner

   7. Click Transfer

   8. Click Done

   9. Sign out of UWO account

5. Move Brand Channel to your personal YouTube Channel

   1. Open a new web browser

   2. Navigate to YouTube All Channels

   3. Sign in with your Personal Google Account

   4. Click on the Brand Channel you recently transferred ownership of

   5. In the upper right, click on your user account logo and select Settings

   6. Under “Your YouTube Channel” section, click on “View advanced settings”

   7. Click on “Move channel to your Google Account or to a different brand account”

   8. You will now be prompted to sign into your Personal Google Account again

   9. Under the “Choose an account to move this channel to”, select Replace

   10. Check the “I understand” box

   11. Click Delete Channel

   12. Click Move Channel

You should now see that your UWO Personal YouTube Channel has been successfully transitioned to a standard Personal YouTube Channel.
