How to check to see if the Palo Alto VPN Client is installed:
Check for existence of shortcut in the Start Menu named “GlobalProtect”
Check Software Center under “Installation Status” and see if the application shows as “Installed”
Check for the file “PanGPA.exe” located in “C:\Program Files\Palo Alto Networks\GlobalProtect”
If Palo Alto VPN Client does not automatically launch in the system tray, but is installed:
Navigate in file explorer to: “C:\Program Files\Palo Alto Networks\GlobalProtect” and double click “PanGPA.exe”
Login following the usual instructions.
Once connected for a few minutes, open Software Center and Install/Reinstall the “Refresh Application List” item. This will attempt to restore the auto-launch for the VPN client.

How to see if the Palo Alto VPN Client is hiding in the system tray:
Click on the “^” symbol
This will show the hidden applications. See if the connected/disconnected icon is present.
