Maintain Group Selection for DataStore - Titan Admin

The DataStore is a set of tables where information is gathered and formatted before it is written to extract files so it can be loaded into other systems.  It will supposedly require less effort to develop extracts to meet the requirements of different systems using the DataStore than it would to obtain the information directly from the source tables.

Maintaining the Group Selection

  1. Navigate to Main Menu > UWO DataStore > DataStore Group Selection

  2. Use the search dialog to pick the Group Selection code. -- TitanAdmin - Using Search Dialogs

  3. Enter a Description for the Group Selection.  You can use this as a reminder for why you enter different selections.

  4. Enter each DataStore Attibute which will be set for students who are in a specified Student Group.  The attribute is set for students who are in at least one of the student groups assigned to it.

Subsequent Activity

Mapworks

Mapworks uses Group Selection to identify four attributes:  

  • At Risk

  • First Generation Student

  • Honors Student

  • Military Benefits

After creating the Group Selection, enter it in the criteria. -- TitanAdmin - Enter DataStore Selection Criteria

Tk20 for COEHS

Tk20 for COEHS uses Group Selection to identify the method of instruction for Human Services Leadership (HSL).
