Arts & Communication General Access Classroom

Projection issues

Computer

  1. Verify the projector is turned on

  2. Verify the computer is on

  3. Verify the correct source is selected on the control panel on the media tower

  4. Verify the VGA/hdmi cable is connected to the adapter and the adapter is connected to the computer

  5. Disconnect and reconnect adapter from computer

Document Camera

  1. Verify the projector is turned on

  2. Verify the document camera is turned on

  3. Verify the correct source is selected on the control panel on the media tower

  4. Verify the VGA/hdmi cable is connected to the port labeled VGA out on the back of  the document camera

VHS/DVD

  1. Verify the projector is turned on

  2. Verify the media tower is turned on 

  3. Verify the correct source is selected on the control panel on on media tower

Laptop

  1. Verify the projector is turned on

  2. Verify the computer is on

  3. Verify the correct source is selected on the control panel on the media tower

  4. Verify the laptop is connected to the system using the room laptop cable

  5. Verify laptop is set to mirror or duplicate displays

Audio Issues

Computer

  1. Verify the computer speakers are turned on 

  2. Verify the audio cable is connected to the computer

  3. Verify the audio is not muted on the computer 

DVD/VHS

  1. Verify the speaker located on the bottom shelf of the projector cart is turned on

  2. Verify the audio cables are connecting the VHS/DVD player to the speaker

Projection Issues

Computer

  1. Verify the projector is turned on

  2. Verify the computer is on

  3. Verify the correct source is selected on the projector

    1. Press source and select computer 1

  4. Verify the VGA cable is connected to the port labeled RGB1 on the document camera to the adapter and the adapter is connected to the computer

  5. Verify the document camera is turned on and RGB1 is selected as the source

Document Camera

  1. Verify the projector is turned on

  2. Verify the document camera is turned on

  3. Verify main is selected as the source on document camera

  4. Verify the VGA cable is connected to the port labeled VGA out on the back of the document camera

VHS/DVD

  1. Verify the projector is turned on

  2. Verify the correct source is selected on the projector

    1. Press source and select video

  3. Verify the correct source is selected on the control panel on the media tower

Rear Projector Projection Issues

Computer

  1. Verify the correct source (RGB1) selected on the remote attached to the computer cart

  2. Verify the VGA cable is connected to the adapter and the adapter is connected to computer
