How to move the taskbar in Windows 11

Windows 11 features a taskbar in the center of the screen by default. If you would like to move the taskbar to the left, follow these directions.

  1. Open the start menu and search for Settings.

  2. Once in Settings, select Personalization.

    Select Personalization
  3. Select Taskbar from the Personalization options.

  4. Select Taskbar behaviors from the Personalization options.

  5. Change Taskbar alignment to Left.
